Here I am.....

Here I am...
               ...a college student.
As of this Monday, that is.

I came up to Provo 3 weeks ago to find a job. Thank goodness, because I'd stand no chance now.

Here I am...
...an official BYU student employee of the CSC (Culinary Support Center).

See that delicious fruit tray? I've made dozens of those... here Karli, we need 16 large, 8 medium, and 4 small. Hope your hands don't freeze....
It's where all the salads, sandwiches, fruit trays, jello salads, baked goods, pretty much any food, is made and then sent out all over campus and to the MTC. Pretty exciting. My boss supervises the 2 cold rooms... 46 Degrees, Baby. No joke. Not the ideal job for a Mesa girl. But now, he's gotten around to having me do what I was hired to do. Design and print labels and learn to use an unreliable computer program, Eatec. I'll also be helping with reorganizing their system for distributing goods within the factory, handling requisitions, and printing production sheets and such. I know. Fancy, right? But for now, if you ever eat anything with the new BYU Fresh logo, with the little green apple, you'll know I printed it.

                                ...or made it.

                                    Yeah, you're welcome.

my coworkers and I at our "work party" this afternoon
Here I am...
               ...in my dorm.

Before this, I was staying with a cousin. But now, I'm all moved in. My roommate's name is Daye Son (Digh-Yay), and she's from Korea. It'll be a cool experience. Here's some pics of our cute apartment in the basement of Tingey Hall in Heritage. Everyone's jealous. Our room is twice the size of anyone else's, and we don't have to share a bathroom between 6 girls :) Thank goodness!

my closet...yes, I stuck my dresser in there...
my keyboard/guitar/bed area...
my "space"
our desk...
our kitchen...
our living/dining area...

And see?
Here I am...
               ...decorating!

These little babies are my new favorite thing...

I've used them everywhere, and I definitely plan on getting more! Useful for sticking stuff to walls without getting fined for damages!

$2 for a set of 7 boxes! Good for storing jewelery, napkins, chocolate, and stuff on the bare walls!
now we don't have to dig behind the desk for an outlet!
and hanging keys! that shiny gold one there? That's my own apartment key!

Anyway, for all you back at home reading this, there's a little bit about how things are around here in college town, Provo. :)

Here I am....

I'm Here!!!

  1. Hooray! Now I need to make my blog super cute, too :) It looks like the work party was a fun time. I'm glad. Nice job with the decorating, not a talent you got from me, sad to say.
