When Tucker first found our apartment over the summer, we weren't sure if its proximity to the stadium was a pro or con. Crowds of people? Blocked off roads? Impossible parking? Not to mention the all-night game commentary...
However, after last weekend, we've decided we love it!
Why?
Because it gives these cuties a reason to visit!
sorry for the bad photo quality....they didn't want to stop jumping! :) |
Our brother-in-law, Sam, is a big BYU Sports fan, so we thought we'd tempt them down from Rexburg with a place to stay and free baby-sitting. Last Friday, Heidi and Sam spent a fun date night at a great BYU Football game while Tucker and I got to play with Ellie and Nathan for a few hours.
We even made sure to take work off on Saturday so we could have a fun family day. Tucker and I already have a tradition of chocolate-chip pancakes on Saturdays (hence the giant bag of Krusteaz), which Ellie was all too eager to participate in.
And Nathan was quite content with a whole pancake all to himself,
especially when he swiped it from Ellie... :)
Before the Brubakers ventured back to Idaho, we took advantage of this year's last beautiful weather weekend and found a park up Provo Canyon.
Most of us laid in the sunshine and slept, but Ellie and Uncle Tucker ran circles around the park.
They probably went down that slide 12 times!
Ellie was QUITE excited with this leaf. |
Apparently, it was cooler than the other leaves covering the ground. |
Love this girl! |
We're sad it was such a short visit, but we loved it while it lasted!
I've wanted to be an aunt my whole life, and I'm happy to report it's as awesome as I anticipated.
We're ready for basketball season. :)
Oh I am jealous. I love love LOVE that girl and her curls! And that Nathan--I could just squeeze him til he squeaks!!
