Milestones and Firsts: First steps! We were sitting on our bed having a mini Family Home Evening on March 9th, and Annie was playing on the floor. Out of nowhere, she just stood right up and took a couple steps! We spent the rest of Family Home Evening practicing. She may not do many tricks, but she's way ahead of the game on gross motor skills! And her first tooth came through on March 13th.
Favorite Things: hanging out in the baby carrier, long walks, sunshine, picnics, playing outside, watching Baby Einstein and Curious George, wrestling Dad, sitting on the counter while Mom does makeup and hair, Mom's toothbrush, sharing Mom and Dad's food, chicken nuggets, Facetiming her grandparents and aunts and uncles
Dislikes: taking medicine, holding still for diaper changes, when Mom has to dig treasures out of her mouth, and when Mom is on the toilet and doesn't let her stick her hand in..... Gotta love parenthood!
Things We Did This Month: Grandma (my mom) came to visit, met lots of Mom's BYU Singers friends, went on lots of walks, played the piano
Moments to Remember: This girl loves her Daddy and loves her books. It's even sweeter when the two are combined. And sometimes, Primary is just downright exhausting for this little girl. When that happens, Daddy's arms are the best spot to nap during singing time. Aren't they just adorable together?
The Little Things: I love watching this little girl's eyes light up as her world grows bigger. She is constantly busy figuring things out and exploring. I love that I'm her secure base, and if anything is a little scary, she comes toddling right over and will plop herself down in my lap. I love listening to her talk to herself while she watches the world from my back in the baby carrier. She's jabbering more and more, and I love our little "conversations." Animal sounds and animal books are a big hit right now. She loves to sing with Mom and has even started singing herself to sleep just before she nods off. She loves Primary songs and wiggly songs and Daddy's dancing songs and Mommy's opera repertoire. She's becoming her own little person, having her own little adventures, but I love that I get to experience it all with her.
