Eli: Month 2

Two months into life, and this boy is doing his best to grow as much as he can.
Still eating at least every hour and a half, he probably weighs half as much as his almost 3-yr-old sister. It seems he gets squishier by the minute, and I love watching the rolls appear on his thighs and neck and forearms.

He still likes showers, being swaddled, his paci, snuggling, and Daddy kisses. This month, he also discovered the joys of his swing, windows, the checkered wall in the bathroom, sucking on his fists, and sleeping on his tummy (though he only does that if he's right next to me for naps, and I'm awake).

He really really doesn't like getting poked in the eye or neck or squeezed almost to death (thanks, big sister), and he's a little wary anytime she gets too close. We have to keep a close eye on her to make sure her intense love for him doesn't smother him.

Around here, he goes by Eli-Monster, Monster Brother, Baby Boy (or Boooyyyyyyyy as Annie says), Bug, and Chunkles.

And his best new tricks are cooing and smiling, which is a real treat from his normally stern scowl.

Mom? Help?

Itchy grass

the dreaded baby acne

side-eyeing his sister
2 blowouts at a funeral...

Thanks for coming to our family, Baby Bug!
